Hitachi Energy Unveils Two New Transformer Component Innovations at CWIEME Berlin 2026
In June 2026, at the CWIEME Berlin exhibition, Hitachi Energy launched two new transformer component solutions: the next-generation SF₆-free transformer gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) bushing GARIP® Eco, and the VUBB Compact on-load tap-changer designed for compact transformer applications .
GARIP® Eco is developed to support the industry's transition away from SF₆-based switchgear technology. The solution is engineered for compatibility with modern SF₆-free GIS systems, maintaining established thermal and dielectric performance while supporting multiple alternative gas technologies and retrofit applications .
VUBB Compact helps transformer manufacturers reduce footprint, weight, and material usage without compromising performance. The technology is available in multiple variants to suit different voltage levels, supporting more flexible transformer design and installation schemes .
