Nidec U.S. MOTORS Introduces High-Horsepower TEFC Horizontal Motor
In January 2026, Nidec U.S. MOTORS introduced a new totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) 2-pole extension horizontal motor for pump, compressor, fan, blower, and conveyor applications in water and wastewater, petroleum, chemical, and electric power facilities .

Design Features:
The new motor increases the maximum 2-pole horsepower rating to 1100 hp from 800 hp
Offered in multiple frame lengths and shaft heights, including 6808, 6809, 7007, 7008, 450ALM and 450BAL frame sizes
Each frame size is tri-drilled for the rated frame size and two frames smaller to support field replacement of existing motors
Features two cycles of vacuum pressure impregnation using 100% solids epoxy resin to help protect motor windings from moisture and contaminants in humid, corrosive, or salty environments .
