Infineon and 3M Partner on 5-Meter Passive USB3 Vision Cable with 10 Gbps Speed
Infineon Technologies and 3M have collaborated to introduce a new 5-meter passive metal industrial camera cable assembly for USB3 Vision cameras, capable of transmitting data at speeds of up to 10 Gbps .
The cable leverages Infineon's EZ-USB™ FX10 peripheral controller, featuring 28 dB insertion loss capability, programmable transmitter optimization, and advanced receiver equalization. This ensures reliable data transmission even in electrically noisy industrial environments. An integrated eye diagram monitor provides real-time signal quality feedback for simplified troubleshooting .
The extended 5-meter passive capability eliminates the need for active repeaters or signal amplifiers, reducing complexity and cost. Applications include quality control systems, automated production lines, smart factory deployments, automotive manufacturing, electronics production, food processing, and pharmaceuticals .
