Vision Components Launches MIPI CSI-2 Cable with Integrated Trigger Board
Vision Components has introduced a new standard MIPI CSI-2 cable featuring an integrated connector board for direct trigger input and flash output, eliminating the need for additional interface hardware in embedded vision systems .
The cable enables hardware-level synchronization between external triggers, lighting, and camera modules without supplementary circuitry—a critical requirement in high-speed manufacturing applications where precise microsecond timing between strobe lighting and sensor exposure is necessary to freeze motion and prevent image blur .
Key Specifications:
Length: 200 mm standard (also available in 60 mm, 100 mm, 250 mm)
Compatibility: All triggerable MIPI camera modules and common processor boards with MIPI CSI-2 interface
Custom Options: 15-pin, 22-pin, or 24-pin layouts with 2 or 4 data lanes
Extended Distance: Micro-coax and SerDes solutions for cable lengths up to 10 meters
The integrated trigger cable is part of the VC MIPI Bricks ecosystem and works with over 50 camera modules. For longer distances, SerDes architectures (using protocols like FPD-Link III or GMSL2) translate parallel MIPI data into a single high-speed serial stream ove
