Pittsburgh's Oktoberfest Rebrands as "Prostburgh" for 2026

Pittsburgh's third annual Oktoberfest returns with a new identity – "Prostburgh" – from October 1-11, 2026, designed to better capture the convergence of present-day Pittsburgh and Munich's Oktoberfest tradition . Allegheny County has proclaimed Prostburgh the official 2026 Oktoberfest celebration of Allegheny County . Returning attractions include a 60-foot Ferris wheel on the Roberto Clemente Bridge, stein-holding competitions, dachshund races, and a Kinderplay area curated by the Children's Museum . The festival features imported German beers, a Bavarian menu (bratwurst, knockwurst, potato pancakes, pretzels), and live music from traditional polka bands to contemporary acts .
