Evite's 2026 Pregame Report, based on a survey of 5,000 users, reveals that 86% of respondents prefer intimate gatherings for birthdays, prioritising connection over lavish events. This is followed by holiday celebrations (75%) and watch parties (49%) .
The report also found that 67% of respondents prefer DIY and affordable options, signalling a shift away from over-the-top spending toward creative, personalised experiences. Pet birthdays are also gaining popularity, with 35% of respondents planning celebrations for their animals .
