Malaysian Influencer's RM500,000 Bunian-Themed Party Under Investigation
Kelantan religious authorities have launched an investigation into Malaysian influencer and entrepreneur Farhana Zahra over a ghost-themed birthday party she organized for her three daughters in Tumpat.
The Party:
Popularly known as Cik Na, she threw the RM500,000 party on May 29 with the theme "Bunian Village." According to Malay superstition, the orang bunian are believed to be supernatural beings from another dimension.
Event Details:
Over 700 guests attended, all dressed in white

Farhana shared that her daughters requested POPMART as birthday gifts (a lorry load)
Religious Investigation:
Farhana was asked to give a statement to the Kelantan religious authorities because her event was said to contain elements deemed inconsistent with Islamic teachings. State mufti Mohamad Shukri Mohamad stated that worshipping ghosts is prohibited in Islam.
Farhana's Response:
She shared that she didn't know holding a ghost-themed party would cause issues because there are haunted houses at schools and expos in Kelantan. She said the incident was a lesson for everyone. She gave her statement to the religious authorities on June 2.
