China Quality Certification Center Issues Landmark Cable Certifications
On July 28, 2026, the 15th "Innovation and New Focus on Cables" Technical Exchange Conference and Material Consistency Standards Briefing was held in Wuxi.
The China Quality Certification Center (CQC) presented several significant certifications at the conference:
The world's first IECEE-CB international certification for submarine cables to Yuan Dong Submarine Cable Co., Ltd.
The nation's first digital certification and carbon footprint assessment dual certificate for cable materials to Shenzhen Pengsu Technology Development Co., Ltd.
A wire and cable digital certification to Guangxi Yanggong Wire and Cable Co., Ltd.
A signing ceremony was also held for the 220kV ultra-high-voltage power cable IECEE-CB international certification project.
Experts at the conference provided the first briefing on the newly released industry standard "Consistency Assessment of Flame-Retardant Rubber and Plastic Materials for Electrical Insulation" (NB/T 12042-2026), along with comprehensive interpretations of standards related to data center high-voltage DC cables, charging pile internal connection cables, and high-altitude wire and cable applications.
