These regulations mandate specific design requirements including metallic shield construction and ground check conductor continuity monitoring, as trailing cables are essential to the safety of mobile mining equipment operating in hazardous environments. According to a 2026 market report, the trailing cable market includes battery and power cables designed to withstand mechanical abuse and severe duty cycles typical of mining operations.
