LS Cable & System Selected for 1 GW Haesong Offshore Wind Submarine Cable Project
In May 2026, LS Cable & System and LS Marine Solution were selected as preferred bidders for the submarine cable supply and construction of the Haesong Offshore Wind Power Project in the waters off Sinan, Jeollanam-do, South Korea .
Project Scale:
The 1 GW-class project involves constructing two 504 MW-class wind farms near Heuksando, Sinan-gun
Global green energy investment company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is overseeing the overall project
The project represents the first time an offshore wind cooperation model linking LS Cable's submarine cable technology with KEPCO E&C's power grid and EPC design capabilities is applied to an actual project
Execution Model:
LS Cable will handle submarine cable supply, while LS Marine Solution will manage construction
The companies will execute the entire project seamlessly based on a turnkey system, including supplying and installing all internal and external network submarine cables
