binder Launches B23 Hybrid Connector for One Cable Automation
In May 2026, circular connector specialist binder introduced its new B23 hybrid connector series, designed to combine power supply and shielded data transmission in a single compact connector for industrial automation applications .
The B23 supports One Cable Automation architectures, enabling simultaneous power and data transmission through one cable connection. This significantly reduces cabling effort, shortens installation times, and minimizes potential sources of error in servo motor and drive system applications .
Key Technical Specifications:
Power transmission: up to 28 A at up to 630 V
Data transmission: shielded Ethernet/EtherCAT according to Cat5, up to 100 Mbit/s
Fast installation: bayonet quick-locking system
Easy assembly: screw clamp termination technology for field use
Standardization: IEC 61076-2-118 for manufacturer-independent compatibility
The connector is specifically designed for drive technology, decentralized automation systems, modular machine concepts, robotics, and flexible manufacturing systems .
Philipp Zuber, Head of Product Management at binder, stated: "Our new B23 connector combines power supply and data transmission in a unique, compact system. It is therefore a key building block for the further establishment of One Cable Automation" .
