Molex Introduces 25 Gbps HSAutoLink G Ethernet Connector System

Source:Industrial Automation / Time:2026-08-07

Molex has expanded its HSAutoLink Interconnect portfolio with the launch of the HSAutoLink G Connector System, an automotive Ethernet connector supporting multi-gigabit data transmission of up to 25 Gbps. The system targets bandwidth-intensive applications including ADAS, LiDAR, zonal architectures, immersive displays, and central compute modules.

Key Technical Specifications:

  • Circuit Count: 1, 2, 4 or 6 pairs

  • Mating Force (max.): 75N

  • Unmating Force with Lock Disabled (max.): 75N

  • Retention Force (min.): 110N

  • Durability: 25 mate/unmate cycles

  • Compatible with USCAR Ethernet interface footprints for backward compatibility

Design Features:
The HSAutoLink G connector features an anti-stubbing design that protects contacts during the mating process, with multiple uniform ground-contact points to enhance EMI suppression. It uses electromagnetic interference shielding and controlled differential impedance to preserve signal integrity in dense vehicle environments.

The HSAutoLink family has supplied more than 700 million connectors to the automotive industry since 2008. According to Min Kong, Regional General Manager of Connected Mobility Systems at Molex: "As the automotive industry transitions to Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), automakers must overcome major performance bottlenecks while ensuring the highest levels of reliable connectivity."

The connector is compatible with existing USCAR Ethernet interface footprints, enabling integration into current architectures without redesign. Samples are now available for early qualification and design-in testing.
