congatec and CODESYS Partner on Virtualized Real-Time PLC Platforms
In July 2026, embedded computing specialist congatec entered into a strategic partnership with control software provider CODESYS Group to deliver highly-integrated virtualized real-time control platforms that transform industrial control hardware into comprehensive PLCs compliant with the IEC 61131-3 international standard .
The development work leverages congatec's proven aReady.VT virtualization technology in combination with the CODESYS Control runtime system. The resulting multi-functional platforms will allow greater flexibility and efficiency within next-generation industrial automation deployments .
