Low-loss coupling: Each single-mode fiber can be individually and optimally aligned to the corresponding core, resulting in extremely low coupling error .
High reliability: YAG laser welding secures components without adhesives, offering excellent power handling characteristics .
Application Impact:
The dramatic reduction in cable count (from 32 individual fibers to a single 3 mm cable) enables installation through existing, crowded conduits where additional cabling would otherwise be impossible .
