Swiss chocolatier Lindt & Sprüngli has reduced prices on more than 100 products for Christmas 2026, including seasonal items, following consumer backlash over expensive Easter chocolate .

Lindt Santa (200g): €8.99 → €7.99
125g Christmas Santas: All varieties offered at uniform price of €5.49
Background: The company faced criticism over a €9 chocolate Easter bunny earlier in the year, with some supermarkets removing Lindt's Goldbears from shelves due to the price surge. Lindt's response to the cocoa price normalisation has been to bring down prices for the upcoming festive season .
Availability: Products will be delivered to supermarkets from mid-September, with more than three quarters of the Christmas range priced under €10 .
