Rosenberger Expands Portfolio with MMC VSFF Connectors for High-Density Cabling
Rosenberger has added the MMC (Miniature Multifibre Connector) to its fiber optic portfolio, a Very Small Form Factor (VSFF) solution developed for high-density fiber optic cabling in data centers, telecommunications networks, and 5G infrastructures .
Key Specifications:
Even smaller than established MPO connectors for maximum port density .
Supports migrations to 400G, 800G, 1.6TB, and future 3.2TB applications .
Equipped with Tiny MT (TMT) ferrules available in 1x12, 2x12, or 1x16 fiber variants .
Maximum insertion loss of 0.35 dB for both singlemode and multimode fibers .
8° APC polish provides very high return loss values of up to 60 dB in single-mode operation .
Design Features:
Push-pull mechanism enables secure insertion and removal even at maximum port density .
Robust housing with central cable support, integrated strain relief, and kink protection .
Operating temperature range of -40°C to +75°C for demanding environments .
The MMC connector meets Telcordia GR-1435 requirements and is designed for maximum reliability and long-term stability .
